More About What We Are Looking For

  • Post Secondary degree in Business, specialization in HR or Marketing
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of previous experience recruiting for the technology industry – preferably web development and digital marketing
  • Must be technically inclined and have some systems related experience with an HRIS or ATS system
  • Must be administratively experienced and capable with programs such as Google Docs, etc.
  • Have some experience recommending and implementing improvements – process/detail oriented with the ability to see and understand the bigger picture
  • High EQ – Exceptional ability to relate and empathize with others.  Understand the importance of interpersonal relationships and how those relationships contribute to the success of the HR function in/outside of an organization
  • Keen interest in out of the box HR – someone who has a passion for non-traditional management practices
  • Comfortable with risk, innovation, failure, and change

What You'll Get To Do

Responsibilities (detailed):

Office Admin — 50%

  • Answer phone, route inbound sales calls and emails, and update CRM
  • Work with IT for network/hardware troubleshooting
  • Liaison with the office manager for new hire set up – desk, computers, emails, systems, security, etc.
  • Manage stock of office supplies, coffee, and snacks 
  • Schedule meetings for the sales team 
  • Plan events such as Christmas party, seasonal outings, birthdays, etc.
  • Management of social events calendar
  • Office-wide communications
  • Schedule standard onboarding meetings
  • Manage office tours, and employee introductions

HR Admin – 50%

  • Management of job postings – Indeed, LinkedIn, university co-op boards, etc.
  • Research of industry events, such as networking opportunities with new grads, meet-ups, etc.
  • Setting up interviews
  • Manage all candidate and hiring manager communication
  • Reference checks
  • Creation of a pipeline of talent/proactive talent pool 
  • Managing referrals and referral program
  • Liaison with payroll – ie direct deposit, benefits, epost, etc.
  • Onboarding functionality through bamboo- deploy new hire kits
  • New hire announcements
  • Partnering with managers to create an onboarding plan
  • Creation and management of new hire materials – forms, new hire presentation (our mission, vision, values, swag, etc.)
